Establishment and Activities

Emporiki Credicom Bank S.A. emerged in 2003, from the strategic alliance of Emporiki Bank and the international financial Group of Crédit Agricole, aiming to develop a pioneering banking model in Greece, specialized in consumer finance.

Initially, Emporiki Bank and Sofinco participated equally in the company’s share capital. On January 1st, 2010, the 100% of Emporiki Credicom’s share capital was acquired by Sofinco, being the corresponding business line of the Crédit Agricole Group, specialized in consumer finance.

On April 2010, the merger of the two specialized companies of the Crédit Agricole Group, Sofinco & Finaref, created Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, specialized subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole group in consumer finance. 

Following a successful course of continuous growth, Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance is a leading group in the European Consumer Credit market that established its position from the 75.8 billion loan portfolio, the €457 million of net income in 2009 and the excellence of the 10.600 employees.  


Creation of Credicom Consumer Finance

On January 2011, Emporiki Credicom, as a fully owned subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, changes its name and is renamed Credicom Consumer Finance

A new era
begins, under a common corporate identity, common vision as well as common strategic and development goals. The dominant color in the new corporate identity is green and it reflects the Group’s commitment for responsible growth and support of the real economy.
